She did so much to make sure everything was just right- she noticed a little bump in the back of the dress that I hadn’t even seen and she fixed it with no extra charge. She thought of adding sequins to my bustle buttons to disguise them. She’s the kind of person to go above and beyond and works so hard to make everyones things perfect. Charlene truly cares for each person that walks through that door and is a gift of a human.

Comment: Great experience and very satisfied with what was altered! I’m literally so short and I can never find pants/ dresses that compliment my height (4’11). I literally called about 20 different alteration spots and most of them were always closed on the times i either get off work or on my days off. I finally called this place and she was able to see me the next day to get it fitted. I tried on so many things for her to alter and one of them was my super long long long bridesmaid dress. I had no problems and loved the fittings of all the things I had alter! Also… if you tell her you need it the next day, she will have it ready for you the next day!10/10 experience!!

Comment: I came here to get my wedding dress altered, and I am SO grateful that I did. I was nervous that I would end up going to someone that would destroy my wedding dress, as I had heard enough horror stories, but Charlene is the best person for the job. She listened so well to what I was asking her to do. The top part of my dress did not fit the way I had wanted it to at all when I first brought it in to Charlene. I was to the point where I could have cried out of frustration, but she fixed it perfectly by taking the whole top part of the dress apart and putting it back together. She is not only so talented, but so dedicated to making sure you are a happy customer and goes above and beyond what other people would do for you. The other staff here are also some of the friendliest people. I definitely plan on getting future clothes altered here.

On the top layer she added lace to match my dress and to hide the buttons for the bustle. She noticed all the little details every bride is looking at! She added padding to my bust and she took in the waist of my dress. She also removed some from the bottom and I didn’t trip on my dress at all! She was super fast and had my dress altered in no time! Comment: I have a beautiful embroidered purse, but one of the zippersbroke. I took it to an alteration shop and was told to find a shoe maker to fix it; the closest one is in El Cajon. I happened to walk in to Style Cleaners. Their alteration area is so professionally organized. Their customer dry cleaning racks are stuffed with cleaned clothes, another area has comforters beautifully packaged and clean. Charlene got my purse’s zipper closed in a second. She whipped out some heavy thread and a needle, and her nimble fingers sewed the ends closed of both zippers so they wouldn’t pop up. The surprise? She didn’t want to charge me! I fumbled for some cash, promised her a good review, and told her I’d be back! I’m keeping my promise—I’m taking a comforter in for cleaning tomorrow. Go here. You will be so pleased and happy you did!

Comment: The seamstresses here work magic! My bridesmaids dress arrived at the store crumpled, crooked seams, and bowed boning. I was honestly in shock that they handed it to me in that terrible of a condition. The price quote that the (well known bridal store) gave me to fix the many issues was over twice the price I paid for the dress! I shopped around and the places that said they could attempt to fix the dress wanted over $300.With only 4 days left before the wedding I came into Style Cleaners and asked what they could do to help.The head seamstress saw me right away, no appointment. In three days they reconstructed the whole bodice of the dress and hemmed all three layers of the skirt; no small feat given the lace back, boning and pleated crepe chiffon. The dress came out beautiful and the fit to perfection! Also, the price was incredibly reasonable and much lower than any of the other places in San Diego.I highly recommended these talented ladies! True miracle workers!

Comment: I picked up my dress today & it looks BRAND NEW! (& believe me, I didnt hold back from having fun at my wedding & it was pretty dirty by the next day). The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a huge miss communication in the beginning & I thought they were going to call when my wedding gown was done being clean. (Which apparently they dont do, theres a pick up date on the receipt). After a couple months I started getting really concerned & called a few times with no luck of reaching somebody.When I finally got in touch with somebody though, they were very apologetic about the mix up & made up for it.

I originally had the place I bought my dress at handle the alterations and they totally messed up my dress, worse job ever, no joke. I then came to this place because my sister had got a few bridesmaids dresses altered there and they had always done a good job for her.I knew how messed up my dress was but I loved my dress when I bought it and if there was a good chance of saving it I wanted to. I brought pictures in of what the dress looked like when I bought it vs what it looked like after alterations and the seamstresses there said she could fix it so I immediately pulled the dress and brought it to her. She only had a week to fix the dress and had to open up all the seams from neck to the knees to fix the dress and she did. She worked on my dress every day before the wedding, true dedication, and performed a miracle and I cannot thank them enough for saving my dress.I highly suggest this place for normal day to day alterations, emergency alterations, and day to day use.

Comment: I am in tears writing this out of both happiness and eternal gratitude.I broke my face (quite literally) during my reception and bled ALL over my wedding gown. Though some friends and bridesmaids were able to get some of the blood out near the belly, I didnt understand the amount of damage until the next morning in daylight. The train was ruined from not being bustled and blood covered literally every surface. This dress is the most precious thing I have ever owned and seeing it ruined was heart-wrenching. I considered this a total loss and began to mourn the day and the dress.With the encouragement of a friend, I called Style Cleaners on Saturday and explained the situation. I was set to leave the country on Wednesday so I knew inquiring about a project like this was step one of being a nightmare customer. The associate on the phone (Im so bummed I didnt get his name) was so understanding about the situation. He gave me a quote for the expedited service and encouraged me to bring in the dress to be inspected. When we arrived, he was reassuring despite being a little shocked by the actual damage. He made it very clear that there was no guarantee the blood would come out, but they would do their very best. The price of the cleaning (and repair of the strap) was steep, but I knew the undertaking was a significant one.Fast forward to Wednesday morning, I didnt know what to expect. What I definitely did not expect was a brand new spanking dress. Im not even kidding you, there is not a trace of blood to be found. They also got out some of the stains from it being a sample gown! I hugged this beauty the whole way home (and clearly shed a few tears because of their sorcery). Thank you to the incredible team at Style Cleaners. Youve given this dress a second life. Im so excited to be able to wear it in the future.

I was alone for my fitting because my family was unsupportive but she made me feel good and enjoy the fitting regardless. She was kind and helpful to offer sewing in cups for my dress for a small charge which was more convenient and affordable than being forced to find a backless bra! She was knowledgeable of the materials on my dress, she got the length down SO PERFECT. I never stepped on my dress the entire night. She did an impeccable job for an affordable price and even got it done in a weeks time before my wedding (I came in two weeks before the wedding). I am very happy with the service I received. They steamed it for me and even stayed open later for me to pick it up and try it on; and I received a lovely white garment bag. I was overwhelmed by her generosity and PASSION for what she does. Just incredible.

Comment: I usually let my dress shirts wash and fold there, and dry clean my suits, plus from time to time alterations. The shirts are impeccable. They are very diligent about the alterations, starting with a thorough assessment what needs to be done and whether is is worthwhile or not. The place is family owned and I like their friendliness. I drive up there from El Cajon, as I have not a found a comparable service closer to home.

Comment: Style Cleaners in Santee is where I decided to get my dress altered as it is close to my home and work. They made evening appointments after 5pm and I was able to make multiple visits to alter the dress exactly to my body. I was amazed as the quick turn around time and how absolutely lovely they were able to alter the dress to fit my body. Price wise - very very very reasonable. Their reviews on yelp is what led me to this shop, and I would hope every bride gets this amazing an experience when getting their wedding gown fitted.

Not only are they well priced (and dont charge for same day cleaning), they are also the nicest dry cleaners Ive ever been to. The cashier is super nice and helpful.They did a good job in cleaning my clothes, and their prices are reasonable. They also do alterations, and the price is reasonable too.
