Comment: Going on a special dinner date with my granddaughter tomorrow evening (Saturday). I was going to wear a flannel, chalk pinstriped suit to fit the occasion. However, when I put the pants on, I needed to have the waist let out about a 1/2 inch. I came to Kona Cleaners (for the very first time) because my daughter had said she thought they did alterations, but said they probably couldnt do in a day. Well, I went there today (Friday), the day after Thanksgiving at 11:30 and they looked at the pants and said they would be done in a half an hour. I couldnt believe it . . . I just picked them up and they look and fit awesome! The young lady who greeted me, Maria, provided outstanding service and the tailor, Yovany, did an exceptional job! I called from the car and asked how they could help me get the clothing to my car. They were able to accommodate all my requests without any issue. Maria even allowed me to keep the dress at the cleaners up until the wedding so that I wouldnt have to find a hiding spot in my house. I go to the Eastvale (Limonite) location next to Albertsons; I dont know his name but there is a young man that works there, and he has second to none customer service! I have told my wife that if I ever needed an employee, I would hire this young man in a second. His type of customer service is hard to find nowadays. He is an asset to the company for sure! They also do great work, and my clothes are always clean, pressed and given with a smile! Thank you for the great service!

I called Kona and they said to bring them in and she would let me know if they could help me. ( what I appreciated is she did not just say oh yeah we can fix them .. she actually looked at them turned on the steamer .. actually analyzed the situation and let me know if they could help) She said oh yes.. they are coming out with the steam.. but asked if I wanted that or send them to be pressed .. I chose to send them out ..24 hours later and only $5 and some change.. my pants look perfect. So honest, professional, and economic! And very Nice ..Thank You!

Comment: Service was extremely quick. I dropped off my husband’s dress shirts to be dry cleaned and they were ready the next day. One of the shirts had a stain on the lapel from a different cleaners. Kona told me they weren’t sure if they could get it out because it might spread, but they would try their best. When I got it back the stain was almost completely gone. I also like that they sent me a text to tell me when it was ready with the option of responding when I was on my way so they could prepare my items for pickup. I am very satisfied with the quality of service and speed.

Comment: I recently tried this Cleaners for the first time. I had a pair of jeans and a maxi dress altered. I was perfectly happy with the alterations work but I was disappointed in the price. When I took my items in I specifically asked how much the price would be and was told $12 each piece. Imagine my surprise when I got there and one of the items was billed for $25, more than double my initial quoted price. I feel the proper thing to do would be to honor the original price as promised. No one notified me of the price change either until it came time to take my payment. This was very wrong IMO. The lady there did apologize and promised to give me a discount next time so I will consider giving them another chance but I would expect the discount to be sizable to make up for this mistake.Update: the owner reached out to me regarding this incident and I am very pleased with how she handled things. I appreciate her professionalism and how she made things right. I will definitely take my business back here in the future.

Comment: I brought in my Levi jacket and it was cleaned well, it looked fine. But the reason Im here, writing this review, is the pricing I was told vs the pricing I was given. I called ahead to ask about pricing, as I did with a couple other cleaners. I was quoted $12.60. The other places I called ranged form $15-16, so I went with Kona. However, when I picked up my jacket it was $18. I know $6 doesnt sound like much to most, but for me it is. The fact that I called around and thought I was getting the best deal, but instead ended up paying the most, is annoying. I felt like there couldve been more done than... nothing. Honestly I wouldve accepted any simple gesture that told me they understood there was a mistake made that I wasnt satisfied with and was their error and/or miscommunication, but all i got was essentially It is what it is.

Ive had other cleaners lose jackets or other articles of clothing Here they affix a small bar code to each clothing item so it never gets lost. The staff is friendly and quickly learns their clientele names. There turnaround time is fast and they even have same day availability if you bring in the items early enough. Ive inadvertently left money and even an ID in my clothing before and the staff has always returned my property safe and sound (theyll even call to advise upon finding something important). The staff is extremely honest; that goes a long way in my book.Ive used their seamstress as well for alterations and she also does a great job. Sometimes the repairs are backlogged up to a week but it is always done right.
