Comment: I had my old light grey winter coat cleaned and a new zipper sewn in. I had the coat dry cleaned last yr somewhere else and it didnt come out looking good. I just accepted, well its old. But with Great American, it looks almost like new. All the stains are gone. The zipper is excellent, and the seamstress repaired a tear I hadnt asked them to do, and it is done very well. Thee was not any dry cleaner odor. I am very happy about the whole job! Thank you for your high quality service.

This time, my order was hanging on the order pickup rack. I paid my bill and took my order home. Easy! Everything should go this smoothly!

I put my my dirty clothes in the bag they provide, leave it on my porch before I leave for work and they pick it up and then deliver my clothes washed and folded a few days later - it is so convenient and saves me having to sit in a laundromat for hours. I love that they use unscented detergent because Im sensitive to perfumes and my clothing has always been returned to me in perfect condition, no issues at all. Im moving out of the area so I unfortunately wont be using their service anymore, but I highly recommend it to anyone who doesnt have laundry facilities at home and is looking for something much more convenient than going to the laundromat.

It seems quite clean and has a good odor.However I had great trouble with their pickup service. They had an appointment to pick it up on a certain day, but never showed up. I called, and they made a new appointment for the following week. They never showed up on that day either. I finally took it in myself, which I had been trying to avoid. It created some trouble for us to be available from 8:00 to 3:00 for two days, and then have to take it in ourselves. We’re not impressed with their service operation.Later the same day: Great American saw this review, and contacted me to try to make things right. In the end they offered me a $20 credit towards a future charge, which was reasonable. Their effort to satisfy their customers speaks well for them. Ive been relying on them for a few years to pick up and drop off my dry cleaning and the few times Ive had an issue, theyve been responsive and resolved it right away. I like the fact that theyve taken some small steps to decrease their environmental footprint such as using durable bags to pick up and drop off clothes rather than putting everything in plastic bags, which I despise, and giving you the chance to opt-out of a pickup so they dont have to use the extra gas. Comment: Great American has never missed a pickup and my shirts are always clean. The owner always answers my email mails and settings up a credit card for payment makes things easier. Their charges are reasonable. I do recommend Great American for their good work and customer service.

Comment: El Cerrito Plazas Great American Dry Cleaners is simply outstanding. The couple who own and operate it are clearly dedicated to the business and to pleasing their customers. I have always been more than pleased with their work. Whats more, theyve added some services--pick-up and delivery, emails notifying customers when orders are ready, etc. And they often have my orders ready before the promised date. Cant say enough good things about this dry cleaning establishment. Use them--youll be glad you did!

Comment: I went to Great American Cleaners a couple of weeks ago, and was very happy with the process and the result. Dropping off was easy and quick despite me being a new customer. I got an email when my order was ready, and a reminder a week later, which is very helpful when youre a working mom and youre keeping track of a zillion things.The price was reasonable, and my clothing looked great.

Comment: Truly love it. Six shirts in need of some real loving attention around their collars came out beautifully for around $16, and the counter service was a delight. Staff was really helpful and accommodating, and we had some amusing repartee on top of it.

Comment: Expertly repaired a torn seam on an expensive kart racing suit. The seam was flawless and you can not tell it was repaired.Highly recommend them. I was a first time customer and will be a repeat customer!
